Ansell M. Jordan II (28) is a Louisiana based multi-media artist / designer and florist. Passionate about the arts, he is a member of various arts entities and dedicates a lot of time to his community. His work was last featured at the Masur Museum as part of the exhibit Art on Purpose: Creating a Lasting Legacy and New Orleans Fashion Week 2023. A native of Monroe, LA, he attended university in the region, where he studied various art forms. When he is not creating, Ansell is gardening or sewing and loves fixing things around his Bastrop, LA, home.
Empowered by direct inspiration from his early childhood art, he aims to create pieces that evoke a sense of wonder and nostalgia, inviting viewers to connect with their own emotions or inner child. In his vibrant and dynamic creations, Jordan often uses the captivating beauty of nature as a muse for his work. His childlike perspective is reflected in his artistic approach, capturing an essence of simplicity and whimsy in each piece. With a diverse background in different types of fine crafts and academic art, Jordan with a childlike curiosity and boundless creativity, playfully explores multiple mediums and art genres to create a distinct and versatile body of work. His art serves as a direct manifestation and reflection of his early gravitation toward the arts, as well as his time studying in university, resulting in a unique blend of personal and academic influences.
