Amy LaBossiere is a multi-talented visual artist, writer, and small business professional whose journey in the art world began in 2003 with an unconventional canvas – an oil drum. This initial foray sparked a flourishing career that has seen her work exhibited in numerous galleries and museums across Connecticut and New York.
Amy's artistic endeavors are complemented by her experience as a producer and co-producer, curating dozens of art shows since 2007. Her solo exhibition in 2011, "Conscious Evolution: Reflections of a Master's Program," was a pivotal moment, resulting in the sale of 22 of her pieces. Additionally, her memoir, "Finding Still Waters: The Art of Conscious Recovery," published in 2018 and updated in 2023, offers a personal narrative intertwining her life with her art.
Her commitment to the arts extends beyond her creations. Amy has served as a Commissioner of Cultural Affairs for the City of Hartford and as a board advisor for Oil Drum Art, Inc. and Connecticut Women Artists, Inc., where she also contributed as the marketing and membership chair for three years.
Currently residing in Hartford ArtSpace with her husband, fine artist Tao LaBossiere, Amy collaborates on various artistic projects and co-volunteers to direct the building's art gallery. Together, they manage a business specializing in mural arts, sculpture, art consulting, branding, and illustration, known for its distinctive and vibrant style.
Amy's journey is marked by continuous exploration and contribution to the visual arts, making her a prominent figure in her local arts community.
